Australian Children’s Content Summit returns in 2024

Children’s media leaders from across the country and around the world will return to Coffs Harbour this August for the second annual Australian Children’s Content Summit.

The Australian Children’s Content Summit (ACCS), presented by SLR Productions with Principal Partner the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF), provides a platform for the children’s and family screen industry from Australia and around the world to network, collaborate, share insights and build business relationships.

Children’s music and television icon Emma Watkins (Emma Memma) will emcee the three-day event, which takes place from Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 August.

The inaugural ACCS, held in August 2023, was a huge success, attracting 260 delegates from 12 countries.

This year’s summit promises to be even better, with international guests including BBC Head of Commissioning & Acquisitions 0-6 Kate Morton, BBC Studios VP Sales Kids & Family Katharina Pietzch, PBS Kids VP of Content Adriano Schmid and Wonderwerks Co-Founder Jane Gould.

The summit provides delegates unparalleled opportunities to engage with screen professionals including producers, creators, broadcasters, distributors, investors and screen agencies.

Australian featured guests include ACTF CEO Jenny Buckland and Head of Content Bernadette O’Mahony, Screen Australia COO Grainne Brundson, ABC Head of Children and Family Libbie Doherty, NITV Head of Commissions Marissa McDowell and Screen NSW Head Kyas Hepworth.

SLR Productions CEO and Australian Children’s Content Summit Founder, Suzanne Ryan said: “I’m beyond thrilled to see the Australian Children’s Content Summit return to Coffs Harbour to highlight the incredible children’s and family screen industry.  The Australian Children’s Content Summit is not just an event; it's a celebration of creativity, collaboration and the connection to audiences in Australia and globally that our inspiring content makes.  The Australian Children’s Content Summit is proud to be at the heart of this wonderful gathering."

Australian Children’s Television Foundation CEO Jenny Buckland said: “The Summit is a ‘must do’ event - bringing the Australian children’s television sector together under one roof and attracting major international partners, in an intimate and inclusive setting. The Australian Children’s Television Foundation is a very proud supporter.”

Early bird tickets for the 2024 Australian Children’s Content Summit are available for $750 until 26 May. For tickets or more information, visit the ACCS website.
